1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how M2Commerce handles personal data when you visit www.m2commerce.nl, contact us or work with us on a project. M2Commerce is the controller of your personal data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. What personal data we collect
Data you give us.
When you use our contact form, email or call us, or place an order: your name, company or organisation, email address, telephone number, and the details of your project (such as the product you are looking for, estimated quantity and preferred delivery date). For orders we also process delivery and invoicing details.
Data collected automatically.
When you visit our website, technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device, pages visited and time of visit. This is collected through our hosting provider and through analytics cookies (see section 6).
We do not ask for special categories of personal data, and our website has no user accounts.
3. Why we use your data and on what legal basis
We use your personal data to answer your enquiry and prepare a quote. We do this because you ask us to before entering into a contract, and because we have a legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries.
When you place an order, we use your data to carry it out: design, samples, production, quality control and delivery. This is necessary to perform our contract with you.
We also use your data for invoicing and bookkeeping, because the law requires us to.
To improve our website and measure its use, we rely on our legitimate interest.
We may occasionally inform business contacts about relevant products or projects, based on our legitimate interest. You can object to this at any time.
Finally, we may use your data to protect our rights and handle disputes, based on our legitimate interest.
We do not sell or rent your personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.
4. Who we share your data with
We only share personal data when this is necessary for the purposes above:
- Our hosting provider Mijndomein, which hosts our website and email.
- Manufacturers and suppliers that produce your order. They receive only what they need, such as your logo, product specifications and, where relevant, a delivery address.
- Transport and logistics companies that deliver your order.
- Our accountant and the tax authorities, for our financial administration.
- Authorities, where we are legally required to do so.
Service providers that process data on our behalf do so under a data processing agreement and may only use it on our instructions.
5. Transfers outside the European Economic Area
Some of our manufacturers, suppliers and service providers are located outside the European Economic Area, for example in Asia. In that case we transfer only the data needed for your order, and only to countries with an adequacy decision of the European Commission or under the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. Cookies and analytics
Our website uses functional cookies that are needed for it to work. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website. Google Analytics collects data such as pages visited, visit duration and an anonymised IP address. Google's processing is described in the Google Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy).
These cookies are placed when you visit our website. You can block or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings.
7. How long we keep your data
We keep your personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes in this Privacy Policy, including our ongoing business relationship with you, or as long as the law requires, such as 7 years for financial records under Dutch tax law.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive your data in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To exercise your rights, email info@m2commerce.nl. We respond within one month.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
9. Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against loss and unauthorised access, such as secure connections (HTTPS), restricted access and up-to-date software.
10. Other websites
Our website links to other websites, such as our M2C webshop (magneticbottlebag.com) and LinkedIn. Those websites have their own privacy policies; this policy does not cover them.
11. Children
Our services are intended for businesses and organisations. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16.
12. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy, for example when our services or the law change. The latest version is always available on this page, and the date at the top shows when it was last changed. If a change significantly affects how we use your data, we will inform you where possible.
